Step 1 – Open Settings App

Step 2 – Scroll the Settings page

Scroll the page and find the Screen Time feature. The Screen Time feature will be after the General settings.

Step 3 – Find App Limits Setting

The app limits are a built-in iPhone feature that helps you to set up screen time for specific app groups or specific app like Instagram.

Step 4 – Tap Add Limit Feature

Add Limit feature will open the next screen where you will be able to select apps.

Step 5 – Tap Search

Tap the Search field at the bottom part of the screen where the arrow shows and type the Instagram app name.

Step 6 – Tap the circle icon next to Instagram

This action will select the Instagram app, then tap Next button on the right upper corner to save changes.

Step 7 – Set Time of Instagram App Use

To block Instagram on iPhone just select 0 hours and 0 minutes of Instagram app usage daily. You can also customize days to set different time for different days. Just tap Customize Days to choose different time.

Step 8 – Tap Blue Button with Check Icon

To save your limits and block Instagram just tap the circle button where the arrow shows on the screen.

How Does Instagram Blocking Work on iPhone?

After you set limits, the Instagram icon will be blocked and the time icon will show that limits are working.

When you try to open Instagram, the iOS Time Limit screen will be shown instead of the app. Unfortunately it is too easy to stop blocking, you just need to tap the "Ignore Limit" button where the arrow shows.
